Its not exposed, underneath the back plate it the camera and its got a cover over it, you are fine.

The battery life.. well all depends how yolu use it, if you use standby, leavings apps running, blah blah blah.

are you sure it has a cover on it?? I wasn't sure so I took an idea from one of my friends and cut out a little square of clear film from a soft paper cd case and inserted inbetween.

TY rachel... you're right... at closer glance it is covered and its recessed so that helps too. Also i LOVED my 8830 but this curve is like an 8830 but way better. Don't know why i went with the 8830 to start with.

I got the Storm the day it was released. I played with it for over a week and did not like it. I missed my 8830 with a real keyboard. When I took the Storm back to Verizon, I started playing with a 8330 Curve. I liked the way it felt. I LOVED the fact that it had a camera and video camera. So I did away with my trusty 8830. The thing is smaller, lighter and I can get MMS! wOOt! Great phone.
