i just called the same number and they said they know nothing about the curve's availability or pricing yet. they expect a late may availability. what's the deal? do you know who you spoke to? this is so annoying!
I spoke with VZW Customer Care and they too told me that there wasn't an official launch date. But here's is what I did find out. How many of you that are getting your Curves are on Business/Corporate accts? And how many are just on Consumer accts? I have been told, and I could have been mis-informed but those that are on Business/Corporate accts are able to get the Curve now. Consumers have to wait. Let me know if this seems correct.

Casper - unfortunately you have been mis-informed. I am a consumer and was able to order my Curve on 5/2. The official release date is 5/9 on Verizon.com and 5/12 in all Verizon communications stores. I have heard some (a lot) having problems ordering theirs early but some CSR (like the one I spoke to) allowed me to order it. (I dialed *611 from my cell option 4, option 4) Some how to call 4 - 5 times to get a CSR to do it. The process that seemed to be most successfull is to ask the CSR to look up Sku 8330c. I hope this helps.
looks like i will have some luck here. i'm on the phone right now with VZW. they found the phone with the sku and are walking me through the telesales. i'm getting the phone for under $200 and the data plan added to my current voice only plan for an extra $30. fyi, if you have voice only and make the change to blackberry, you don't have to go with the $40 add on under their "data plans." i'm saving $10/month since i am not part of a business.

Price $319.00-100.00 NE2-100.00 ADC-50.00 Rebate (did not have to mail in, just asked for it and not have to deal with it). Final price= $69.00, delivered on Wed.
The problem that I am also facing is that I just got my Pearl on 3/12. I am past the 30 day trial period. The CS rep told me I would have to pay full retail. I got my pearl for $50 after rebate from the special upgrade promo that VZW sent to me. I want the Curve but I don't know what to do.
I'm having difficulty. The reps are telling me, "It's on a list of phones to be released later. When it shows up online as available, that's when they can sell it to me." I've asked to look up by SKU, but they don't seem to want to.

You will have to buy the Curve at full retail which is $439. Sell the Pearl on the forums, ebay, or craigslist. You should be able to get over $200 for the Pearl. Your final out of pocket expenses will probably be around $200
