To all you BB pro's, from your experience what programs are a must dl for my new Berry? Just to give you an idea of how i use my Berry, I am always on the road so a good GPS software would be good. Also what would be the best Instant Messaging Software? I use MS exchange at work to connect through my emails(if that is any help at all) and i check them very frequently. Or any recommendations would be great. Also a link to the recommended softwares.

The BlackBerry has plenty of fantastic application software, but you need to be aware of your memory usage.

If your memory reserve gets low, the low memory recovery program can make your life miserable.

Get to know your Curve first. Monitor the free memory with Options / Status. If you are staying above 10 Mb, you should be safe.

If you need help with cleaning out the wall paper and window dressing, there is a fine resource at hand.

I just got my curve too, for the second time that is! lol ( my first curve only lasted 7 months before i squeezed all the berry juice out of it.)

I like GPSed, i use it for joggin and it tracks your course, time, and distance. Then you can upload the info and see the track on a map.

Welcome to the family. A lot of the google apps are a must. I would also install ESPN if you are a sports fan and the most important the Crackberry launcher.

Also don't forget to check your OS version, ( to find out press the
"Alt, Left Shift and H" at the same time.

if your is not version .194 ( last 3 number) I highly recommend you to upgrade it. it free up about ~5MB of memory

I have a quick question about my BB.
when i try to dl new apps for it it is asking me for my bb email address. i just set up my bb for my work email using MS exchange. Would that be the same as my bb email or would i have to set up a new/seperate bb email account?
