Hello all,

Just thought I'd introduce myself... I just got myself a Curve 8330 a few days ago. I'm glad I was able to find this great forum. It's a great community as far as I can tell.

The Curve is a great phone (so far), but only 64 MB of internal memory!?!?

I just had to get myself a mini sandisk (4gig), but it doesn't seem to improve the processing speed, or is it purely for storage?

Also, my battery, fully charged, seems to only last for about a day. Is this normal?

I do use my e-mail feature quite often, but that's about it. Any other useful applications people may suggest?

I use my chip for storage. Still have lots of working memory though.


My battery lasts a long time considering what I use my CB for all day long. It usually has to be recharged by dinner if I've used it normally for us (internet and email and phone all day long. It's our only internet and phone way out where we live).
But that's a long time for all that usage, IMO!

There have been a few days when I've used it as a phone and email only-no internet- and it lasted until after bedtime(midnight-1am) before needing a charge.
I think one day is normal for it, since I assume you're using the snot out of it like we all do. LOL


Lots of people put weather on theirs, like weatherbug or weathereye.

Of course, you can add the CB launcher button. :-D

Empower email viewer for html email.

I've added a google search button, a google maps button,
a flashlight, some news buttons, and Viigo (I've had no issues with it though some have).

Yesterday I found out that we can listen to radio from our BBs.



I'm still new so that's all I can offer you but maybe its a start.
:-). (And I'm not sure how to add links to these posts from my CB or I'd add them for the stuff I listed)

Welcome to CB! Store all your media files on your SD and thats all it does...no connection to processing speed (except for making the phone lag when you fill the card to the brim ) The battery life can get affected if you dont have enough coverage because the phone keeps searching for network.

Welcome to the addiction. I store everything i can to media files. My battery usually last about a day in a half or two. If you use it alot which you probably do (as a new owner) it will go down faster.

Speak for yourself. Some of of are rational enough to not be. It is a phone
after all. Kind of hard to be addicted to such a thing.

BTW, the 8330 has 96mb of memory not 64mb

Welcome to CB. As already noted the card is for media and I would just charge the battery during sleeping hours daily.
