guys whats the deal with jivetalk, i've heard about it but not sure what it actually does.

it's an instant messenger client that allows you to connect to multiple accounts. ie, gTalk, AIM, YIM etc. It's the best instant messenger client I've tried on blackberry. Great, clean interface and lots of options like the ability to divide your contacts into groups. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I use web messenger now, what is difference between the two besides web messenger being free?
