Yea, as far as I know the most prominent feature in the beta is group chat, which I don't use anyway and probably never will. If you try it out let us know how it goes, and if it adds anything else.
I'm installing it now... what the heck. I'm bored at work so I'll play with it for a while.
Edit: Ok well after a couple of minutes of playing around with it, the the only thing I noticed different was that when in a conversation with a buddy who has a buddy icon, the icon doesn't show up at the top left anymore. I read that I'm supposed to have a choice of whether or not I want it displayed:
"3) Ability to see the buddy icons on the chat area with a preference to set this on/off"

but I don't see that option in Preferences. As for the group chat, none of my buddies are responding so I guess I'll just try it later, and I'm not too sure they can do it anyway since most are using sidekicks.
I just wish they could have the IM chats show in the message list like the stock IM apps do! I have JiveTalk but rarely use it, due to this. I like the way the stock ones handle that better.
I'm wating on an update that will allow some more customization. Sure I love the mac like bubbles, but I don't think I need the whole iphone/ichat color scheme as well.
