What I want to do is sync my gMail contacts with my Curve - but just one way, gMail to Curve.
I've had my Curve since October. And since then I've tried that google sync, and it just made duplicates of a lot of things, things got lost in the shuffle, etc. I got rid of it way back when.
I've just finished making a master copy of all my contacts/phone numbers/email addresses, etc in gMail. And basically what I'm trying to do is clear out my Curve address book as it stands now and sync it fresh to gMail.
Well the only way I found was to sync via gtalk. You can also do a sync with msn and yahoo via their messengers. But that's the only way I found. Hope that helps.

I connected to DM. Went under advanced backup and deleted the address book from my berry (in essence wiping just the add book clean). Then I dl'ed and installed the new Google Sync and ran that. Now I'm clean as a whistle!
