What is the best way to instant message between 8330 and home computer. I have been using e-mail, but if I am on the phone I don't get the e-mail till much later, especially with verizon.net e-mail.

I'm personally happy using Google Talk for that sorta thing. AIM would do it and has a nice bb app. Any old IM app would do.

It will use your gmail address for the login and whatever password you use as well to log into Google Talk...

This is what I am trying to accomplish. Google talk on the 8330 and google talk on PC. Both using the same gmail account. Or does my PC have to have a different gmail address. That would be annoying, since my emails are monitored at both locations.

No problem, it will work just how you asked. Install Google Talk on your BB and PC and you're good...

You're going to need to Gmail accounts if you want to have a conversation with another person.

You can't use the same email on both devices because then you would be talking with yourself.

I would recommend a second account or setting up AIM on both with 2 different screen names.
