    Does anyone know how to get rid of an app update indicator? It's the black circle with a white arrow in the middle and a red and white asterisk. A couple weeks ago it showed up because there was an update for one of my apps. I downloaded the update but the indicator is still there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled every app I have and it will not go away. Can anyone help me?

    I assume that you have the BlackBerry App Store app installed, correct? Because I think I've read that that's what it's indicator looks like when one of your downloaded apps from the store needs updating. So have you uninstalled that to see if that clears it up?

    Do what MrWheelMan said. If that doesn't work, check your messages folder for an unread App World message.

    i dont think you can necessarily 'uninstall' bberry app store..supposedly it is pushed to the device with service books.

    Yes I do have the App World installed and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I don't see any messages but could there be some place I'm not checking?

    Saw this today, Was running 1.10.11 of app world. Icon would not go away. Removed and installed version 1.1.15 and after the install and battery reset, the icon was gone. Still monitoring to see if it comes back

    Right after the batt pull it seemed to be gone but then it popped up again.

    Did you figure out how to get the message indicator off? I'm having the same problem. I upgraded the applications and it still shows new messages.

    Yes, I did. The app update message was still in my inbox marked as unread even though I opened it when I first got it.

    I pressed the menu (BB) button, chose Mark Prior Opened, and the indicator went away! Silly me. So if you do that it should be fixed.

    Yea I realized it when I was deleting all my prior emails and it went away. Thanks though.
