In my settings, I set my key tone to off but, I still hear the beeps of the keys when dialing a phone number? This is really annoying when your head phones are on. I don't hear the keys when texting or typing only when dialing? Is there a way to shut phone key dial tones off?

Here is a thread that describes another technique that seems to work for some phone/OS combinations. It does not work for my Verizon 8830, so I can't verify it. http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/mut...dialing-53875/

I was wondering the same thing for the first couple days as well. i did find a way to silence that key beep when dialling though.
-scroll and click on the profile app.
-scroll down and click on advanced
-scroll over quiet and click the menu button
-click edit
-then scroll down to phone
-take mute off
-adjust all settings to your preference
-save
Viola now you have a silent key tone dial.
