i am running .131 and had a question about the html mail. is there a way that i can have the images automatically downloaded when i open the e-mail or do i have to go to the menu and select get images? this is just getting really annoying to me.

Even with the download images automatically setting set to yes you still have to download them manually.

It's a security feature that RIM built in the OS.

Well I think it may remember senders and if you download images from a sender the next time you open an email from that sender it will download the images automatically.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong

yeah it does cache the images once you load them but if there are any different images they have to be loaded. does anyone know if there are plans to remove this security feature in a future os?

Not likely. RIM is all about security.

RIM did this intentionally because images from remote sources compromise security.

i just think that they should make it up to the user to select if they want to compromise their security.

i wonder if there is any possibility that someone could make a 3rd party app that automaticaly does it when you open an e-mail. is that even possible?
