Hey Everybody,

I figured it out! The BB browser is not sending the correct info to Google, or Google is not interpreting it correctly, so what happens is it's downloading the version for BlackBerrys with OS 4.0 which doesn't handle internal GPS.

Here's a temporary fix until Google or RIM fix the issue...

Using your BlackBerry browser, download Google Maps 2.1.0 for BlackBerry devices with OS 4.2 or higher from this link: http://www.google.com/gmm/apps/v2.1....=42&ver=v2.1.0

Now you'll have your GPS again (and the icon too)

How did u figure this out when it was already posted that when you go to the google.com/gmm site it gives u a link to a 4.0os version. So you found the direct link for 2.1.0 for the 4.2.2 os, congrats.

since I can't get the GMaps v2.1 for OS4.2 (OTA) to work with my OS4.5.0.18

Will it work if I dl the BES version to my pc ( they have ALX version for BES) and then install it to my BB ?
