    hi folks,

    i am new to the bb family....i just downloaded an applications...some with .jad and .jar extensions. question is, how do i get those files onto my blackberry 8330?

    Those files are meant to be installed OTA (Over The Air).

    You need to go to the download link with your BlackBerry Browser and download and install them that way.

    You could also install them onto your computer and then to the blackberry via the desktop manager.

    Mama is correct they are for OTA - if you do not want to browse via the BB to the site just copy the link from you PC (rt click copy) and email that link to your BB's email address - open the link from the BB and click download - done...

    JAD and JAR files cannot be installed this way. You would need to ALX and COD files.

    Many apps you can put your phone number in and it will be emailed or just OTA it.
