Push the button on the top of the phone while it is ringing.

Do you mean stop the phone from audibly ringing, but not kick the call to voicemail prematurely? If so, you can also hit the down/minus key on the side (that usually controls volumes). It mutes the ringer, but the phone continues to ring silently until the normal time at which vm kicks in.
Yea I love that mute bottons at the top. Especially handy during work. I have my phone vib twice when recieveing a call, if I don't feel the vibs, I can still mute the actual tone pretty quick from my pocket.

Wow of all the buttons I didn't think of the MUTE button for that! Thanks! I've been wondering this too!
which button is that?
TIA
ok. i think i see the silver rectangular button -- will try it the next time.
its is the silver button on the top of your phone next to the speaker.
Ummmm.... it's the only button on the top of the phone. ;)
When I tried muting with the top button, it mutes for a couple of seconds only and then back to audible.
try the down volume key. That should keep it off for the whole time.
