when I recieve an email I get a notification in both my email and my messaging folder, is there a way to only get the email in the email folder? Its prob so simple but I can't figure it out!! please help!

yes just hide the messages folder. scroll to the icon on your main screen and highlight the icon and hit the menu button and select hide

Yep simple hide works well for me. But it can not be removed, that is the way the OS is.
