I have a pearl and want to try out my husband's curve. I think I REALLY want a Javelin. We're both on a ATT family plan. Is it as easy as swapping sim cards. Will our address books and aps switch too? Thanks for all the help.

Thanks... you guys for answering my question. I thought it might be that easy but I'm SOOOOOO scared to mess something up and be stuck without a berry. This site is awesome!!!!

Yes, you can use the device switch wizard.
As well as using this, you will need to update your PIN and IMEI on the BIS website.

Have a look at this thread. It will give you the link for your carriers BIS. Simply log in and you will need to choose the option that says switch device.

Always keep your berry backed up on your pc that's my advice then you can sync contacts, calendar, notes and tasks as soon as you connect new one and prevents loosing them!

The curve's Desktop Mgr is a newer version than the one that came with the pearl. Would it be ok to connect the pearl to the newer Desktop Mgr?

Yes that's ok. I've used various versions of Desktop Manager with no issues.
