For preventative cleaning... I use alcohol on a Q-Tip. I don't have to worry about Q-Tip fuzz getting in the device because I am careful. It keeps it clean so I never actually have to disaseemble my TrackBall Keeps me happy

One last thing if you wanted to would be to order some replacements. You might never need one but if something happens to that one you could be stuck....... I ordered a handful from ebay for 4.84 each with no shipping, OEM and they were here 3 days later. You could of course use cnn.cn or bbenriched as well for trackball replacements.
