I have a 2gig that I'm replacing with a 4gig ...I'm trying to use the DM (4.5) to back everything up, then change out the cards and restore. However, after the restore, all my media is gone.

Am I blind/stupid?

Copy the contents of the card to your hard drive,
switch the cards in the BB then copy them back to the 4gb.

I have never used DM to back up and restore media. I just back up all media card files to PC then format SD card in your BB and then drag and drop files back onto appropriate folders on SD card while BB is in mass storage mode.
