Okay let's say I decide not to get the Tour and I wanna just make my Curve look a bit different. What site is the best for ordering housing and if you can't find the colors you want....what model will fit the 8330?

And how hard is it to replace housing?

I don't know what the best site for ordering a housing is but I did find this nice video on how to take one apart. If you cant find the color of housing you want I suppose you could always paint it. Here is a link to the video

It is for an 8300 but I think it would be similar to other 83xx phones.

It has to be stated for 8330 only. It uses a different housing than the 8300/10/20 models. You can find them on eBay for reasonable prices. The online sellers people link to charge high prices for housings IMO. If you are just replacing the outside housing it involves taking off the battery cover, removing two screws and prying off the faceplate and antenna cover (many tutorials on internet on how to do - even videos on youtube). You then snap on new faceplate an antenna cover. Put back the screws (be careful not to overtighten or they will break) and putting the battery cover back on. You need a T5 Torx screwdriver. Some ebay sellers give you a free one with the housing.

I think everything4blackberry.com has housing for the 8330....and I thought that the 8300 series could fit the 8330. There all the same dimensions.

The buttons on the top of the keyboard are a little different on the 8330 compared to the other models, that's why they won't fit.

So...I happened to not be reading what I ordered on Ebay and it was for housing on 8300/10/20. And I have an 8330. It comes with buttons that fit the housing...this should work, right? I figured out the buttons didn't work yesterday when I tried it with another housing I had.

People have but 8330 housing/keyboard trays on their 83XX BBs, but I haven't seen anyone go the other route (8330 with 83XX housing/keyboard tray).

    In theory, it will work.

Here's a good housing tutorial with pics:

Just don't use alcohol to clean the lens as mentioned in the tutorial, your lens might get cloudy.

Ya avoid anything that doesn't say 8330. I got a whit one that didn't fit and lived with it. The top buttons were way to tight. I got my 8330 black housing today and couldn't be happier.

Yeah the top buttons are strait on the other bbs where as the 8330s are angled and that is why it doesn't fit. It is easy to swap just be slow and carefull.
