One of our blackberry curves started to have problems this weekend. we can no longer hold the caps key to capitalize all the letters of a word, or hold the alt key to type in a phone number.
in an email or sms message we would previously hold down the alt key and type in the numbers we wanted, the same for caps if we wanted to capitalize the word OUT we would just hold down the caps key and type out. I know there is num lock and caps lock functions you can turn on but we are looking at getting the holding of the keys working again.
Anyone have a similar problem? This just started to happen on Saturday and no changes have been made to the phone, the themes,the setup, nothing.
Backup your device, then do a battery pull with the phone ON. Leave it out a few seconds, then put it back. When the phone finishes rebooting, your keyboard function should be restored.

JeffH, I have done this procedure many times , no dice.
Ive gone over the whole device nothing seems to have been changed, nothing downloaded, etc. We are on a BES but nothing has been pushed over the weekend. Ive tried resetting the device, changing themes, changing profiles, removing sd card , among other things.
