i have a verizon bb 8330 and all that shows on the screen is a battery symbol with black shading and a red line thru it is my blackberry bricked

No I only have one but the battery works just fine in my other bb8330

I assume you have DM installed on your pc and with a Os for your BB.

1. Plug the phone without the battery to the pc and open DM (blackberry desktop manager).
2. See if it says something like this : trouble connecting to blackberry smartphone either because its in continous reboot or battery is dead.
