Okay, I am attempting to update my 8330 from 4.5.0.89 to 4.5.0.127 using the steps here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/prop...ocedure-53359/

I've successfully upgraded using those steps twice in the past. However this time I'm stuck at step 9 of the Advanced Procedure. After wiping the device, then going to Application Loader, it won't detect my device. It just sits there asking me to select a device and enter my PIN. I've tried restarting DM (v4.7) several times, and tried several battery pulls on the BB. It just sits there with the 507 error and I can't do anything about it because DM won't recognize it. Suggestions?

First, shut down DM. Run loader.exe from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\ ... Then do a battery pull. While the red LED is still on, before it gives you the 507 error, connect it to your computer.

Get rid of DM 4.7 and use 4.6. Is where I would start. Also unplugging the device and pluging it in real fast when you have the device manager open. It should detect for a second. You have to be fast though or you will miss it. Just try it a few times until you get it

Thanks for the responses. Uninstalling DM 4.7 and reinstalling 4.6 resolved the issue for me. Thanks again.

No problem. Glad it worked for you. DM 4.7 is still a little buggy.
