My phone just shut off. Did a battery pull,no help. Plugged power supply.
Red light came on then the screen shows a battery on the screen with a lighting bolt going through it. WHAT CAN I DO. Thanks Mike

I have a 8830 WE with the same symptoms for a few days now, except some times it does not come on at all. I have tried a new battery to no avail. I bought it on E-bay last month and so it is not covered under any warranty. I finally gave up and bought a new one, but I am still obsessing over what went wrong.
In about an hour the phone started workin again. It is still under warranty , Verizon have noted the problem and if it happens again they will give me a new phone.
Sounds like your battery was completely dead. I have the exact icon on my 8800 at the moment. I've let it run completely down on several occasions and after about an hour or so, it charges enough to boot back up. Nothing to worry about.
