Call T-Mo from your phone by dialing 611. Ask the CS rep. to add Blackberry Unlimited (BIS) or go onto your on-line account add the service.

In order to use BB messenger and email on your 8320 you need an internet connection through BIS (Blackberry servers). When you sign up for the service you will receive service books that will open up BB messenger on your phone.

Did you leave out the part where you tried upgrading to BBM 5.0 while you are on a low OS version number?
