you should so you can do a manual backup before the upgrade.

this link will take you to dm 4.6 download. pick the one with out the media manager and follow the prompts to install.

once finished with the DM install, read this thread and then put your plan into action to get the OS upgrade

you want the option that says blackberry curve(TM) 8320 smartphone.. then press next, and pick the top one to download. you will have to fill out your information and then save the file.

It'll take forever to download the OS on dial-up. Do you have a friend or relative with a high-speed internet connection that you can use?

that may be the reason its not letting her get to the page.. bbchick, did you end up getting the desktop software? did that work?

Like I said, it is near impossible to download an 80+ MB OS file using dial-up. This is pointless unless you can get access to a high-speed internet connection or PC.

i looked on the tmo-blackberry page, and it only has the 4.2 OS.. so, check through the crackberry thread to see if there is a mirror link that might work for you.. or as xlide said, if you have a friend with a pc that has high speed internet, i would definately go that route. it will take about an hour and a half with high speed internet, and im guessing it would take twice that with dial-up anyway.. maybe even 3 or 4 times that.. if even possible..
