I have a verizon 8330, I have an 8g media card with plenty of free space, and lots of phone memory. My phone says I have no pics, tones, or music. I pulled the battery and the my phone started it said I have a media card error, and that I should connect to my computer and use some software to fix the problem. I have no clue what to do in orfer to fix the issue or why it does it. I think it did it once or twice before but I think it fixed itself.
    I really appreciate your help.

If I format it won't I lose all my pics and vids? I've backed up my phone, but I don't think that saves media.

If you turn on Mass Storage Mode you can connect your BB to your PC and move/copy your media files to your PC and then move/copy them back after you format the card.

On your BB go to Options/Media Card and set to these settings.

    Media Card Support - On
    Encryption Mode - None
Mass Storage Mode Support - On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected - Yes

If you have mass storage mode turned on and you plug your BB into your PC, the PC will see it as a mass storage device and you can drag n drop media files from the PC straight to the specified folders on the media card or vice versa.

You were exactly right! I figured out that the phone wasn't able to read the card and it had to be reformatted like you said. Any idea why it does that? Luckily i did have most of my pics and vids on my comp, so now i have to get better aquainted with media manager. haha. Thanks a lot!

If you've upgraded your OS lately or when you downloaded Slacker your card may have gotten a corrupt file extension or something on it.

It happens every once in awhile.

I had it happen to a 4GB card once.

ok, i just formatted my card, and re-added all of my files but i'm still getting
the error message: "A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct
the erros please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."

    any other suggestions?

Do you have a memory card reader on your PC and the SD card adapter that came with your MicroSD card?

If you have the memory card reader it will be a bunch of little slots on the front of your PC tower.

They would be on the front. Is there any slots that you can plug a memory card into?

yes, she has one on her printer, but she suggested that i use the USB port method
    again.

do u think i should try reformatting the card and re-adding the files?

Re-format the card but don't put anything on it yet.
Give it a little while and see if you're still having the same problem.
One of your files could be corrupted.

again, then wait until around 9 pm EST and add the files one-by-one and see
    if anything changes.
