I uploaded 4.5.0.138 onto my girlfriend curve 8330 yesterday thinking I was a nice guy. Wrong!!! She hates it and says its slower and freezing up. Can somebody please help me find the original software so I can fix this problem. I just want to put back to the way it was. Thank you!!!!

Did you do the backup as recommended? If not, you might be able to go thru the carriers web site.

What did she have previously.. and Im sure, infact i KNOW google works for finding another OS... just uninstall the 138, install the new one, and proceed as you did loading this one.

Whatever was on there when the phone was new , I want to say 77 off the top of my head. Yeah I backed everything up. Can I just erase and restore from the back up ???

A restore from a back up wont put the older OS back on.

What carrier does she have.. google the carrier and then 4.5.0.77 or whatever she had..

Once you locate and download the OS you want to go back to, follow the instructions here -

Basically a restore is for settings etc.. has nothing to do with changing an OS - if only if it were that easy LOL

Just pretty much *restores* all your settings etc to the same way you had it

haha, I orginally only read the title of the thread and thought "oh, f@$% that, with my luck with woman, I can't help this guy!"

But seriously though, my DM saved a copy of the old OS when I upgraded, so to downgrade, I only had to go to the app loader > Update software and uncheck the new os and put a check mark next to the old os, let her run and vuala. Maybe DM doesn't work that way all the time though???

she's probably just tripping cause you messed with it, you know how women can get (sorry ladies but you know this is true). I don't see how it could be any slower than what she had before.

Did you do a battery pull after the install? I read that it seemed to help it out, I did one on mine right after the inital boot up after install and haven't had a minutes trouble. Battery pull fixes everything.......well almost everything
