I have a curve 8300 and my problem is with the calendar.
I was getting an audible prompt and a pop up screen showing the appointment or task.
This suddenly quit shortly after installing internet and e-mail.
My wife got a new 8310, so I switched everything over to her 8300.
Calendar worked great, until a couple hours after downloading service books for e-mail.
Back to same problem, calendar blows by apointments with no prompt or pop up screen.

P.S. have checked profiles many times. Profile is set properly

Well, if you said the Profiles are set correctly (volume & tone selected according to preference) then I'd try a battery pull.

Hope things get solved! Sorry I'm not too much help, I try.

8300 and 8310 dont have the same service books I would assume?

Battery pull didn't help. Forgot to mention that was the first thing I tried.

Swapped everything over from an 8300 to another 8300.
Same problem developed after swap and download of service books.
