Hi there, I have an unlocked Blackberry 8320 from T-mobile. I live in Canada and my GPS doesn't work? The GPS source says 'none' and I am unable to change it. I'd really like to fix this problem but don't know how? Please help! Thanks so much!!

Bluetooth GPS for Laptop, PDA & SmartPhone. Holux GR 236 / GPSlim236 SiRF Star III GPS.

The 8320 has Wifi, but no built in GPS. You can use an external device and connect through Bluetooth.

The 8320 does have GPS and WIFI

I'm not entirely sure if yours is unlocked if it makes a difference, but I had to get a data plan before I was able to use the maps function.

I installed google maps and I was able to use the My Location of the 8320 once I bought the blackberry data plan

not super accurate and it doesn't do turn by turn directions, but still pretty helpful

You are thinking about Google's cell tower method of locating the device, that in not GPS.

GPS uses orbiting satellites that provide accurate time signals. In addition to telling you were you are, it will tell you the correct time with the accuracy of an atomic clock.

If this kind of device suits your needs, the installation instructions will be documented for you.

Bluetooth pairs up matched devices over a short range radio connection.

but I thought my 8320 comes with the GPS? This is sooo confusing. So unless my service provider provides a data plan, is there no way to use the GPS that's already integrated into the device?

    8310 is GPS, no Wifi
    8320 isWifi, no GPS.
The 8320 does NOT have an integrated GPS at all...

With the 8320, you can buy a bluetooth GPS receiver and it will then be able to gove GPS navigation.
Or you can get Google Maps, and use the Cell Signal triangulation.
