I have a huge dilemma, I didn't bring my desktop software disc to my Mom's house so now I have no way to charge my BB.. I am downloading desktop software 4.3 now but it say's it is going to take 3hrs because It's 313Mb. I have no time to wait for it to download (I have school in the morning and It's already 10) and it's almost dead. Is there just a charging driver I can download instead?
Not that I know of. But you should be cool dowload the app tonight then just wake up a little early and charge it for like 30 min and you shold be a ok

i charged my phone without the desktop manager or anything installed, and it worked fine, try to plug it in and see....
the USB should charge whether it knows its a BB or not....
yeah, exactly what cjcarbone said...the charging aspect of the USB cable doesn't care if you have the software installed or not...if you connect the phone to the computer, it will charge. =)
