I left my BB unused for a few days because I was in an area without service. I let it sit in the holster with the battery fully charged. (Everything was working normally before this)

A few days later (~5 days), when I come back to find that the device won't turn on. If I plug it into my PC, all I get is a steady red light, it doesn't even recognize the device when plugged in (Windows 7).

I tried to battery pull trick first, didn't work. Read a few FAQs about reinstalling the OS (I had 4.5 or w/e the default was), but I can't even get the software to recognize the device...

I know the BB curves battery life was pathetic, but I'm surprise to see that a fully charged battery would completely drain out by just idling in its holster for 5 days???

When my battery fully discharged the phone would not start charging immediately. Try plugging into wall outlet and leave for several hours.
