I can't get my computer to recognize that my BB is connected. I have changed USB ports; entered passwords; everything I can think of--I have done. I'm not too computer savy and it really shows. Please help. Need to back up calender and contacts. Thanks

Sorry if you did this, but have to ask...

Did you load the Blackberry Desktop Manager to your computer from the CD that came with your phone?

First let me say, WElcome to crackberry..

Try opening Dm without the phone attatched to the computer. When Dm loads all the way up, plug your phone into the computer and take the battery out after plugged in. leave out for about 30 seconds and let the computer recognize your drivers and then put battery back in. See if that works.

I started with the 4.2 from the CD. Then down loaded the 4.6 version. Thanks, I was able to syn my BB to the desktop. The battery trick worked. I do have a question. I use a palm calender (not connected to a phone). Is there anyway to syn that to my BB. So far I can't see the calender on my BB. Maybe you can work magic again. Thanks again.
