Hello,

I have a problem, my BB seems to stall every time i am about to text someone out of state. Since I have friends out of WA i'm constantly texting them, and I have no issues, but there is one contact out of state who's number i try to reply to or text stalls my BB and takes me a while to send a message.

I've already tried the pull-battery-out and doesn't work

Already tried deleteing all the SMS from the contact, doesn't work

Already tried deleting the contact, still doesn't work.

Is there anyone who has an answer to my problem.
I'm running the latest OS as well.-

Have you ever deleted your outbox of text messages? That has been known to cause some lag on the messages.

From your messages folder go to menu then select folder and sms outbox and then menu delete prior.

Give that a shot!

No :/ It still lags just that number...is from Alabama....the only number that lags

I have.

What I dont understand is that

It doesn't lag when i get texts from other people but just that number.

I've noticed that when I also text that number it looks like it's on the verge of crashing then it freezes and it comes back "alive" a couple of seconds later.

Its never done that before.

I'd say contact RIM and your carrier and see if they have a solution. Maybe a new BB *wink*

Thanks I will most Def do that in the morning.

Thank you guys and gals for your imputs, and it's been going on for months.

I've called Sprint, and the guy wasn't addressing my problem at all...so i will try again tomorrow...then RIM

well my friend (who's having the problem) has had many replacements and they all do the same thing. on different OS builds as well. i'm wondering if there is a common denominator.

Is this one friend on a different carrier than all your other contacts? Maybe its a network thing?
What happens if you e-mail this person from your device?

I dont know what service provider he has, but i called sprint this morning and they're going to replace it..so i'll be getting another bb of the same kind so i'm hoping its a better maybe the 8330m and not the 8330e

he's on VZW, and he gets device lag, not network lag.

it happens to ALL contacts.

but he just got a storm, so it's sort of moot now...just was curious why the phone would lag from messages...ah well.

Ok i asked what SP he had and said he has Alltel aka Verizon i guess lol?

So i'm just going to wait for a new phone and see what is up.

if it happens again wen u get rdy to send click and right before clicking send go to remove history and then send and see if it helps
