Hi,

I attempted to downloaded the new bbm 5.0 it downloaded just fine but it completely deleted bbm all together :-) I can't find old or new. Except it shows 5.0 in applications but that's it.

I have a verizon 8330 Curve Please help anyone Thanks!!!

You need OS 4.5.0.81 or higher to use BBM5.

If you are on the old 4.5.0.77 OS, that is why your icon disappeared.

Oh crap! Thanks xlideride.

It is 4.5.0.77 that's the last time I listen to my bbm peeps.

Can I get the old one back or am I just SOL?

Or, you can upgrade your OS to the latest official Verizon OS, 4.5.0.138 which does support BBM5.

Also, there is an OTA link somewhere in these forums that will "fix" your BBM. Unfortunately, I don't readily know where this link is.

Perhaps someone will pop in and post the link for you.

If you want to use the new BBM5, and you want to upgrade your OS to use it, I recommend upgrading to Sprint's 4.5.0.131 instead of the latest Verizon OS (.138):
