I mistakenly deleted Tasks Application from my phone. Can anyone tell me how to replace it?

Hi, you will need to have the Desktop Manager installed on your PC.

You will need to have your OS for device installed on your PC.

You can then re-install the app with Desktop Manager...

If you have the Dexktop Manager application loaded on your computer you can re-install that way. Just simply plug your phone into your computer>desktop manager>application loader>tasks make sure this is checked and viola you have it back.

i was under the understanding that if the OS for device was not installed on PC, when you connected the phone as you stated it would only show apps currently installed on device????

You are correct. You must have the exact OS version that is on your BB.

Always a good idea to leave the OS installed for just such an emergency.

Thanks alot. I have desktop manager but I do not believe i have the OS on my computer. I will try and see how that goes. Ofcourse I will keep you posted.

What's the OS version on your BB. Options > About, 3rd line OS 4.5.0.?

Need the exact OS to try and get tasks back.

Little confused here I upgraded to 4.5 but my desktop manager is still on 4.3 is that bad? What do I need to do to install 4.5?

I assume the upgrade is the BB OS. You probably can continue to use DM 4.3, but I recommend upgrading to DM 4.6:https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

Let me make sure I'm clear. On your BB you are using OS 4.5. Options > About, 3rd line will tell you.

On your PC you are using Desktop Manager 4.3.

DM and your BB OS are independent. However, I would recommend upgrading your DM from 4.3 to 4.5. Here's a new link:BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software - BlackBerry Software at BlackBerry.com

Click the Download button, then select Blackberry Desktop Software v4.6 and follow the prompts.
