I have a bb 8310r that i bught for next to nothing. Well the unit i from rogers but my rovider is Fido. It works fine as long as the phone option is concerned. but the problem is with the internet as well as the gps.
I do have a surfing plan with Fido. So I called em up, first of all Fido does not support BB, yet they gave me a few setttings, such as:
PAN: wap.fido.ca
User name:fido
Password:fido
I have inserted all of it correctly, however they also gave me an IP add as followe 205.051.011.011, problem is I have no ideas as how to go about setting it in.
I am not convinced that being able to set the IP will allow me to go on line. I have been through all related threads and followed, yet I am on square one. if someone could give me a step by step guide that be awesome. Please feel free to have your input.
I don't know what your saying, i am confused? IP address on a Blackberry Curve 8310????? You don't even have Wifi on the 8310. You have to make sure you have the BLackBerry Data Plan.
hey bigfish, did you get your Fido's Mobile Internet running on your BB? I having same problem. I changed TCP settings. no go. Even tried Registering through Host Routing Table. let me know
