Okay really sorry but I'm really new to blacberry, I bought it from a friend. I understand I need something on my computer to put themes,wallpapers, music, etc. on my phone. I don't know what I need or how to download it, can someone please help me. It'd be greatly appreciated thank you

You can download themes etc directly through your phone. What your talking about is the Desktop Manager. Go to the site below and download version 4.5 or 4.6, if on Vista get 4.7. You can download the desktop manager or device software from teh Blackberry.com web site as well as some applications, games and IM clients.

You can download themes directly to your device with an over the air download link.

When I try to upload my software and all that stuff to my phone it always comes up with a message that says a fatall error has occured and won't update it.

Try getting it through the T-Mo site - that would probably be best for starters.

The version of desktop manager has nothing to do with the update
