My headphone jack stopped workink. When I plug my headphones in it plays like using the speaker just not as loud.

Try pluggin and removing the headset 3-4 really quick and see if this helps. If not usually this is jack in the phone and this is not a good thing. Also try another headse to see if this helps. Oh yes do a battery reset for good measure
