Is there any software for the 8310 curve (AT&T) that allows you to use the GPS like a traditional handheld GPS?

I'm mostly thinking of hiking in the mountains where you have no cell coverage but would like to be able track where your going or create a waypoint.

Anybody know if something like this exists?

I don't think there is any GPS software available for a BB that doesn't require a data connection to download maps.

Seems like someone mentioned one called TrekBuddy that can save it's maps to your SD card and would work where there wasn't cellular coverage. I may be wrong but hop over to the GPS Forum here and snoop around a bit.

I stand corrected. TrekBuddy looks pretty cool, I'll have to check it out.
