Tried searching for my question but no luck....

If I have an unlimited data plan from AT&T with my Curve, is Google Maps free for me to use? Also, how does the program work, does it use GPS tracking? I've read about the program but am still unsure exactly how it works and whether or not it's free.
    Thanks.

Google maps is always free. If you have GPS (assuming you have an 8310) it will use that, otherwise it will triangulate your location via cell towers (within ~1000m).

Great app... Google is becoming the next Microsoft, but they don't charge you an arm and a leg for everything.

The street view version is way cool. Not sure how truly useful but the technology is amazing! Soon I understand they will be releasing their voice version. Looking forward.

I like seeing what the neighbor's are up to!

I do like it though. It's a great app for those of us without a gps option. The triangulation is pretty close without using sats.

I have a Verizon 8330 and the bluetooth option no longer shows up on google maps. I used it in the past with v2.1, but it disappeared with 2.2 and later.

    Any ideas?
