I was wondering if anybody has gotten this to work yet? It works on the storm just fine.
Location is set to on. And bb maps is still installed... But I can't get it to lock on my location..... Its always 1000 meters away and btw I did search....

It wont work on VZW (except the Storm) end of story.
Verizon blocks internal GPS use for 3rd party apps, only BB maps can access the internal GPS function. Using cell phone towers to find your location is why the location is off 1000 to ? feet in Google Maps. I found this out after trying to use amAze GPS on my Verizon 8330 Curve.

IF you have the 8330M Google Maps does not work.

This is odd because I have a Verizon Curve 8330. Google Maps works just fine. The GPS isn't locked, as I had read multiple times before. I do not have any issues with it at all.

If so, it is because you have a 8330 and NOT an 8330m.
Are you sure the Google map app is using the GPS and not the tower locator/approximator?
