I dont know what happened, i do not want to jinx myself but after i updated to the new OS.. (4.5) i am now able to video record on my 8310.. i do it every hour just to make sure i am for real LOL and i have taken plenty of videos since yesterday.

oh how i love this phone everyday

ps.. i know this phone does not have video record thats why i am posting a thread about my stroke of luck

That's no surprise, really. It's commonly known that 4.5 enables video recording on the Curve.

Well, hopefully 4.5 works out for you. I'm in no hurry to record video, so I'll wait for an official release before updating my Curve.

Could you post some of the video you've shot so we can see the quality?

OS 4.3 can do that as well... meaning all Verizon Curves (8330) can do video as well as voice recording.

If you want to see a demo of video quality there is a video on youtube. I've had 4.5 now for 1 or 2 weeks and I love all the new features (video reocording and youtube topping the list). I've almost no problems with 4.5 except for a couple menu glitches and it freezes. But none of the cons have made me want to downgrade. I reccomend everyone at least try 4.5, I doubt you will be dissapointed.

I have been running 4.5 for several weeks now, and can say that it is great. I must be lucky because I've not had any problems from this beta
It runs just fine and the new enhancements are cool. epically video.
I even posted some video on youtube that i took with my 8310. the youtube compression changes it a little, so the actual quality is better than you see. go to youtube and search for theshadow62 and see my friend get hit in the face with a cake.

will reedit the post once i get it uploaded. I recorded this last night around 2 AM so the quality is good for that. I had the video light on and i was surprised at how good it looked in pitch black.

4.5 hammered me with a memory leak...I would go from 20mb to 13 within an hour...went back to 4.2, now I'm running approx 27mb with a few third party apps..

I find it somewhat funny that the BB owners with Verizon can act quite smug about everyone elses' excitement about the new OS.

We don't care you already have Video and YouTube... we are all excited that we will get an upgrade. And, don't lie, you know you are excited too... you just want to try to make us feel jealous. haha
