Running .102 on an 8310 and was upgrading to a 8 gig from a 2 gig card. Had quite a bit of trouble with the latch, actually came off. Anyway reseated the latch and inserted the 8 gig card in. Would not recognize the card no matter how many times I reseated it or performed resets. Put it in my reader and the PC will not format it altho it sees it. Put my 2 gig back in, the phone sees it and insist on a format. Have backed it up so I tried to format, countless times, will not format. The PC doesn't even see it. I have ordered a replacement but before I fry another card does anyone have any ideas? BTW I have read ALL of the previous card post before posting this plea!
I have not heard of this but that does not mean that it cannot happen.. It sounds like the card is damaged since you can see it in your PC but cannot format it.
I'll state the obvious and say that this sounds like static electricity damage.
I think that you may have to try yet another card.
