I was given a 8310 unlocked (v4.5.0.174).
Is it worth getting a plan for it, trying to up-date the OS or is it more headaches?

I had the same thing happen but I can't make a good decision until I find out what the features this phone offers are. Any suggestions? I am a total noob to Blackberries, really total. I have never had a Blackberry or even really known anyone who did. I have no idea what sort of OS it uses or if it even has an OS. All this makes it tough to ask questions, even.
