    Hi,

Is there any free push email service from 3rd party other than the one that comes default with Blackberry?
I searched on Google but couldn't find any satisfactory result...some of the services are discontinued.

    Thanks

Thanks, I found Gmail for mobile.

So if I install this application, it will work as push email?

Yes, but it's not instant. It takes about 15 minutes.

Gmail to my knowledge relies on polling and isn't a true push email solution.

    Try Funambol or LogicMail

Try Consilient.com as well. I used to use them a few years ago. You'll get push email if you have any type of data plan..it is fairly reliable as well

One solution is to forward your email to your BlackBerry account - that account is pushed instantly to your device, and since forwarding occurs instantly, this basically gives you instantaneous push email. However, there's no desktop client nor can you access it from your desktop.
