I'm new to this forum, and just picked up the 8330 curve. I'm trying to transfer the files I have stored on the phone's original memory (roughly half of the total memory) to a memory vard. I bought a 4gb card, and put that in. I was just told however, the sd micro card is only for music, pictures, video, etc.

The files I want to transfer are my contacts, email, etc.

I was told I can't use the memory card for the transfer of contacts, etc.

Is there any other method of transfering those files to any other type of card?

Does this require using 3rd party software, if so, does anyone have a link?

    Thx.

    Welcome to CrackBerry.

BlackBerrys treat the media card like an external hard drive, you can store files but not the contents of memory.

Files like pictures, music and video can be moved, one step at a time, using Explore. Explore is an Menu option in Media Center.

The one step at a time process is clumsy.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager v4.3 with Rixio Media Manager makes quick work of the job.
