How much free memory does everyone have?? I'm running OS 4.5.0.52, and have a Curve (8310) and I have 23139433 bytes. When I had OS 4.2 I had well over 30000000 bytes of free space. My phone can be kinda sluggish at times and I've tried doing all the memory cleaning/file freeing things online and through the post here that I could find. Is OS 4.5 just bigger than 4.2 therefore not allowing me to clean up as much?? Just wondering also what are all the free applications that you guys put on your phones for daily use? And how often do you reload your OS? I know for computers reloading the OS can do a lot of Good! Just wondering if it does the same for the Blackberry? Thanks for the reply/help in advance!
Welcome to CB. 25 is good. That's where I'm at. I recomend you do daily mem management. Clear your logs and caches and do a reset alt-right shift-delete. I do this and never have any mem problems

*yikes!* You are gonna begin to lose call logs and messages soon if you do not do something about that!! Follow the memory optimizing thread in my signature
Hey guys don't mean to bust your bubble but I am running 8330/4.5.0.56 I have 34060969 Bytes which is decent I see. I use myBoxTone bb life management. The only thing I see wrong is my RAM which is 8/15 used/available which is half way but it normally runs 5/15 which I think is a little low and is what causes the hourglass to appear when it drops below 2 until it regains which is why sometimes it will hourglass for a few min. Now I just have to find out how to increase it because I'm currently not running any 3rd party apps but I do have 5 or 6 installed I use regularly and keep closed. They inclue: myPoynt, vLingo, yahooGO, JuiceCaster, myBoxTone, Opera Mini, docsTogo, expense log pro, and yahoo messenger. I guess that makes 9 plus I have 4 themes on my phone. I do not save any media to my phone but all to my sdcard which is small at 256mb right now till I spend the money on a bigger one! Good luck guys

after a soft reset, im at 27-28...after a couple days without resetting or anything i usually settle around 24-25
ps. my sms/mms and messages are packed
only apps i have are google maps, jivetalk, bbsmart alarm pro, and facebook.
is Jive talk that good?? I mean is it work the money to spend because obviously there is nothing for AT&T because they block the AIM application you can get for it. and AT&T hasn't come out with a offical version there are several carriers that have though...TIM from Italy for one just delete the vender.xml file and you can use it too search the forums for TIM Italy 4.5 and you should find it with no problem if you want to upgrade.
