Ok my about screen says 8330 on it. Where as my other phone says 8330M. Both have MEID numbers. Does that make both M's? Meaning this one I just got will not support 5.0?
And can someone let me know if shrinking the OS removes or makes some files obselete.

I was in the sprint store last weekend, inquiring about os 5.0, anyway, the tech was on the phone with RIM tech support....they stated that the "m" stands for multimedia. They stated that the only difference is that with an 8330, an mms message opens up in a web page, and with the M model, it opens up like a regular mms message in the message application.
Actually if it has MEID number you can have or do have the embedded pic in mm instead of the link like the 8330 os has. There are a few (I have one too) 8330 in the about screen and it has an meid number. This device does work on 5.0 which boost mobiles version is 5-8 mbs bigger than 4.5.
