I just got a new 8310 and am getting ready to set it up. Our company uses the enterprise server and a friend of mine, who also has the 8310, says that if it's set up to receive email directly from the server then you can't sync with your local machine to keep everything else updated. Is this true?

It's true. BUT, you can turn off wireless sync on the device, then sync on your local pc, then turn the wireless sync back on again...

Okay, being a noob... where do I turn off wireless sync? I assume that I still sync using desktop manager once the wireless sync is off?

Calendar / Menu / Options / Wireless sync = off

Contacts / Menu / Options / Wiress sync = off

Couldn't you just leave calendar and contacts wireless sync off and just let it sync email wirelessly? Or does that not work?
