I keep looking at the manual to my blackberry and it tells me that I can add a signature to both my emails and my text messages. It tells me to go to the menu and click on email settings, and then on signature . . . . but the thing about it is, it is not there. How can I add a signature?

    Thank you,

    God bless,

Log into your BIS. On Verizon, it's at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw . Click on the "edit" icon for the e-mail you want a signature with, and within that you will get a few options. One of those will be signature, and that will be where you put it.

    Good luck!

Will this allow me to place a signature on my regular text messages?

    Nope. That's for email only.

There's no automatic way to put a signature on every text message you send. You can, however, set up an AutoText entry and add it manually to each message. Bear in mind that the signature will count against the number of characters in the SMS, so you likely will want to keep it short.

I am a Sprint user and see that I can easily add a sig on the Sprint site but only to the main # on the account (my husband's). Won't let me choose my # to add a sig...does this mean I have to call CS?

To be completely, totally, 100% honest, I have no freaking idea. But I would think that on your BIS site (https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=sprint), you would be able to log into your own phone's BIS. This should be where you find your signature stuff.

That'd be my assumption, at least. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure.

The information you enter under Owner Information in your settings is what you can add to your text messages, etc. If you enter 'sig' at the end of your text, your signature will be added. I have my name, address, and -if found please call... so I never use it. Takes up too many characters in a small text space! Hope this helps!
